HOG!

I think the people called him a "hog" because he looks like an animal. They describe what his face looks like and just straight out calls him a hog. In their eyes he is too stupid to plan a crime , a stupid animal. Another reason is because he is black. In this time every human is looked at as being less than a human. I don't think the jury was trying to hear anything that was being said. Jefferson was guilty in their eyes.
